Friends,

I want to invite you to weekend teachings with the Mahamudra master, Traleg Rinpoche. Of special note, our Main Shrine Room Swamp Cooler is in GREAT shape, so the shrine room will be pleasantly cool!

Traleg Rinpoche is known for his skill at communicating practices that dissolve the emotional harshness we carry toward ourselves. As Rinpoche said, “The notions of detachment and renunciation are all to often the things that most religions emphasize, sometimes to an extreme. This has been at the expense of cultivating our potential for psychological and physical well-being, of learning to be at ease with ourselves, our environment, and our fellow creatures…. Instead of highlighting the negatives in our lives and seeing evil lurking in every corner, the Mahamudra approach to spirituality allows us to see things in a positive and open light. Even things that we might normally regard as bad and undesirable can be interpreted in a more uplifting way due to the expansiveness of the Mahamudra vision, allowing us to benefit from them spiritually.”

This weekend Traleg Rinpoche- will teach us on The Practice of Lojong. We will practice training the mind in a fundamentally open, brilliant and compassionate way – not harsh and mean-spirited, but open, intelligent, generous, uplifted – contacting a natural expansiveness freed from emotional pain. Please come!

August 9 / 9:00 AM - August 10 / 5:00 PM
Price: $120 Members ($145 Non-Members)
